The Purposes of Haldane Expanded Version

 “To forge the leaders of tomorrow from the newcomers of today”:  We seek to nurture and mentor newcomers so their experience in the SCA is one they want to continue. 

“To make the spirit of Chivalry the lifeblood of the House”:  We seek to live the Chivalric virtues, to wit Honor, Courtesy, Loyalty, Valor, Humility, Largesse.

“To pledge that Nobility will encircle all of our doings”:  We seek to act as exemplars and try to be the type of people that others will want to emulate.

“To seek to gain knowledge and to pass that knowledge on to others”:  We seek to learn so that we may grow in knowledge and be able to teach others what we know.

“To welcome all, to turn none away, and to make joy our constant companion”:  We seek to be a welcoming presence and be a fun group for people to interact with, whether members or not.

“To work for the Dream so that others may live it”:  We seek to serve where we can and to be a resource for helping as much as possible.
